Georgie Mai

Clinic Director & Owner

Georgie was a Project Manager and worked in Marketing before retraining in Sports Therapy and setting up the Rehab Hub (originally GB Sports Therapy) in 2011.  She is now the Lead Sports Therapist and Clinic Director, enjoying the mix of working closely with patients and guiding the development of the practice.  She is a real ‘people person’; her desire to help people and provide an honest service that is second to none was the driver behind creating a team of like-minded Therapists within the Rehab Hub.

She has a sound knowledge of soft tissue function and joint rehabilitation, and uses a blend of advanced soft tissue skills including the cornerstone of sports massage, dry needling, ultrasound, taping and strapping in her sessions.  She is a passionate and caring individual who enjoys working with everyone – sporty or not.  Getting people back to doing what they love is her motivator!

Georgie no longer provides ‘routine/maintenance’ sports massage, choosing instead to concentrate on rehabilitation, ‘return to sport’ and gait work which is aided by her clinic experience and further qualifications in:

  • Strength and conditioning
  • Weightlifting
  • Biomechanical and functional assessments
  • Movement and running re-education
  • Return-to-sport programming.

Specialist services that she provides include; Observational Running Assessments, Running Re-education, progressive rehabilitation/strength plans for return-to-sport.
